Sadie Judice Olivier, a resident of St. Martinville, Louisiana, passed away peacefully at the age of 90 on August 15, 2024. Born on May 14, 1934, in Loreauville, Louisiana, Sadie was the beloved daughter of the late Enoe J. Judice, Sr. and the late Yolande Wiltz Judice.
Sadie lived a life marked by her deep love and unwavering devotion to her family and friends. She was a loving wife, devoted mother, caring sister, and a friend with an incredibly sweet disposition. Her warmth and kindness touched everyone who had the privilege of knowing her.
A faithful member of St. Martin de Tours Catholic Church, Sadie dedicated much of her time to serving her community. She was a talented seamstress and retired from Martin Mills, where her skill and craftsmanship were well-regarded. Beyond her professional life, Sadie was a devoted volunteer, giving countless hours to support her church. She played an integral role in saying the Rosary in both French and English at the nursing home and at funerals, offering solace and spiritual comfort to many.
Sadie’s spirit of generosity extended far beyond her immediate circle. She always found ways to help those in need, embodying the true spirit of selflessness and community service. Her legacy of love and kindness will be remembered fondly by all who knew her.
Those left behind to cherish her memory are her loving son, Rene’ C. Olivier and wife Lori; one brother, Leonard Judice and all of her beautiful nieces and nephews and extended family members.
Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Patrick Olivier; three sisters, Mary Rose Olivier, Marietta Prince and Pauline Judice and five brothers, Harold Judice, Allen Judice, Johnny Judice, Paul Judice and EJ Judice, Jr.
A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, August 22, 2024 at 10:00 am at Evangeline Funeral Home in St. Martinville. Fr. Ed Degeyter will officiate. Sadie will be laid to rest immediately following at St. Michael’s Mausoleum.
Visiting hours will be observed on Wednesday, August 21, 2024 from 5:00 pm until 9:00 pm at Evangeline Funeral Home. A Rosary will be prayed at 6:30 pm. The funeral home will reopen at 8:00 am on Thursday until time of service.
