Velma Dauphine Bourque

ST. MARTINVILLE – A Memorial Mass will be conducted for Mrs. Delven Bourque , the former Velma Dauphine, age 70, at 3:00 pm Friday, April 23, 2010 at St. Martin de Tours Catholic Church with Msgr. Douglas Courville officiating. Inurnment will follow at St. Michael’s Cemetery.

A native and resident of St. Martinville, Mrs. Bourque passed away at 8:05 pm on Monday, April 19, 2010 at Consolata Nursing Home.

She is survived by four daughters, Elizabeth Thibodeaux of St. Martinville, Gail Quebedeaux of Parks, Sarah Boudreaux of Jeanerette and Darlene Bourque of New Iberia; two sons, Delven Bourque of St. Martinville and Jason Bourque of Breaux Bridge; two brothers, Clifton Dauphine of Loreauville and Ludger Dauphine of texas City; two sisters, Bertina Poirrier of Cypress Island and Bernice Myers of New Iberia; and fifteen grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband Delven Bourque; son, Jonathan Keith Bourque; daughter, Deborah Ann Bourque; parents, Stanley & Rita Thibodeaux Dauphine and two brothers, Stanley Dauphine, Jr. and Clarence Dauphine.

Nothing can bring her back or take away the pain, but she will always be in your hearts. She was a wonderful lady and will be missed by many!
