Ana Cely Corchado, 54 years old, passed Thursday, November 10, 2022, in Tampa, FL. Ana is survived by her mother, Cecilia, children Theresa, Jennifer, Michael, Joey, and Sonya, and her six grandchildren.
Ana was born on February 20, 1968, in Aguadilla, PR, to Rumaldo Corchado and Cecilia Torres. She was the only child but grew up with many cousins she loved as if they were her siblings. Ana was a proud mom of five children, three biological and two adopted. Ana's greatest love was all her children and grandchildren. And she was so fortunate and always so grateful to call them hers.
Ana suffered a big part of her life battling Lupus and other diseases that complicated her health. Despite her suffering she always had an uplifting and loving spirit. She endured so much, and all she would worry about was making sure we were happy, had everything, were fed, and loved. No doubt she had her days, but one thing that didn't change was the person she was with everyone and the love she shared.
Our loved one, Ana, knew how to have a good time; she was outgoing and loved dancing. Another thing that she loved to do and will be greatly missed was her cooking. To this day, we have yet to meet someone who can pull out a brand new recipe, add her own twist, and make it so delicious. She was the strongest person we knew. Not even a wheelchair, walker, or amputated leg could stop her from moving. She was a fighter until her last breath.
Our memories of her are many. We would always enjoy seeing her dance with a broom, on the dance floor, or with her grandchildren. Her favorite holiday was Christmas, and that was because she loved to decorate the tree with us, and see the excitement on our faces in opening the gifts. She also looked forward to cooking a big meal and seeing us enjoying her food. She was a true fish; she loved the water and would not say no to the pool, beach, or water park. Anyone that knew her knew her love for Betty Boop, crocheting, and planting. Her most immense love, though, was always her mother, children and her grandchildren. She was the kind of woman that would try anything, and she wasn't the kind of grandmother that would sit back and watch the grandchildren. She was the grandmother throwing herself down the slide, doing flips in the pool, jumping on the trampoline. She was the happiest when she was with her grandchildren. She always said they gave her life again. God couldn't have chosen a better mother, grandmother, partner, family member and friend to bless our lives. She wasn't perfect, but she was just right for us.
Life took you too soon, but know you have imprinted all of our hearts with a special kind of love only you could give us, and we will never forget everything you meant for us all. We love you forever and beyond.
A visitation for Ana will be held Saturday, December 3, 2022 from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM at Beach Memorial Chapel, 301 COREY AVE, ST PETE BEACH, FL 33706.
