On the evening of April 4th, the angels came for Ronald Leppold in St. Petersburg Florida. Ron was born Cyril Ronald Leppold to Cyril and Rose Leppold, but went by Ron. He was 87. He was born in Pittsburgh and raised in Verona, PA. His family moved to St. Petersburg in 1954. Ron was in the US Army, a St. Petersburg Firefighter and owned a home construction and carpentry business, and he had a playful sense of humor. He is survived by a large family and close friends.
Funeral mass to be held at St. Jude’s Cathedral, 5815 5th Ave N. St. Petersburg on May 3 at 1pm (park in the 5th Ave parking lot as school will be getting out via the other lots.) Ron will be interred later in a private ceremony at Woodlawn Memory Gardens. Ron was a very active charity donor. In lieu of flowers, we invite you to donate in Ron's name to Wounded Warrior Project, Tunnel to Towers, American Legion Charities, Suncoast Hospice, Cathedral of St. Jude the Apostle.
