Missing you today my brother. Our common bond from 9/ 11 and its aftermath is part of what made us so close. We both didn't like to talk to others about our experiences but we were comfortable talking about it with each other. It helped the healing process. Today is a lot sadder for me. Continue to Rest in Peace.

Chris, my friend, no words can ever fill the void you left behind in this world. You will be missed dearly by your family, your friends at CBP, and we all know FPS will never be able to replace you. 

I'm just as shocked as the next person, but this hits me more to the core as a former fellow bike rider. Simply put, people suck, and this happening to you and your wife is just not fair. I wish and hope the best for your wife during her recovery and  I grieve with your family during this tragic time.

We talked and laughed a lot together -- and I spent a lot of time getting to know how much of a good human being you truly are.
Man, we were so lucky to have you in our lives.

I had the privilege of working with Chris for several months, and he was truly a great guy with a huge personality. He always had a smile, a story, or laughs we would exchange . I remember Chris once telling me, when he returned from a cardiologist appointment, “Never go to a doctor whose plants in their office have died.”  Chris would always get a kick out of certain “delicacies” that we eat in Louisiana.

We shared many laughs and many good times, and I will always be grateful for those memories. Chris had a spirit and presence that will not be forgotten. His kindness, humor, and larger-than-life personality touched those around him, and his memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.

To Abigail and Maria, our hearts and prayers are especially with you. May you find comfort in the love and memories you shared with Chris, and may his spirit continue to surround you in the days ahead.

Chris had a heart of gold and a smile that could light up any room. 
He spoke of you, Maria with so much love and pride. I am incredibly grateful to have known him and to work with him. He was always pleasant to talk to in the mornings in the breakroom at work. Holding you close in my thoughts. I hope everyday you heal and get through this difficult time in your life. I will miss you Chris, RIP

Oh Chris, I just can't believe your gone. So many memories from back in Eastport I will never forget.  Although I hadn't seen you  in many years, I was so very happy to be back in touch with you. You will be sorely missed. My thoughts and prayers to all who loved him 💔.

I was fortunate to have Chris as my partner for the past four years. Too many laughs and memories. He was passionate with anything he put his mind to. We talked about everything. Partner..Friend..My Brother..my circle got a little smaller but you will always be with me..He ain't heavy, he's my brother. Continued prayers for Maria and the rest of the family.

He was the first person to welcome me at the Port of Tampa, and i could not have felt more welcome. He escorted me around on day one to show me what was what. Every interaction with him ended with a smile. He will be missed.

Although my interactions with Chris were brief, he always made me laugh or smile. The last time I spoke with him was before the weekend and we laughed up a storm about somethings that were happening at work.

Great guy, great personality, down to earth. He will be missed by all.

Chris,

There are some losses that don't arrive very neatly, because the history that came before was messy. 
We had years that held love, anger, laughter, disappointment, friendship, distance, and a whole lot of life in between.

But through all of it, there is Abigail.

Of all the things our lives gave each other, she will forever be the best part. So, thank you for making me a mother. 

I wish there had been more time for you two. More time for conversations, for healing, for watching her grow up.
I know how proud you were of her. 
She's still a little "peanut," and she's so smart and so beautiful. But I don't have to tell you that. 

I will always be grateful that the two of us were able to navigate the ugly and focus on what was best for Abby.
I promise you I will protect her and carry her through whatever comes next.

We didn’t know Chris and we don’t know Maria but we know Maria’s sister Rachel. To say we’re sorry to hear about the tragic accident just doesn’t express our sorrow for both families.  What a tremendous loss. Praying for Maria. ❤️

Sorry to hear the news of Chris’ passing. My sincere condolences to his dad, brothers, daughter, and all those who loved him. While my own memories and experiences with Chris were complicated, I recognize that he was a son, a brother, a father, an uncle, and a significant other, and that his passing brings pain and loss to those who cared for him. Praying for peace, comfort, and strength for his family during this difficult time.
