HIEPE, Cleo Holt of St. Petersburg died October 8, 2015 peacefully in her sleep at her home. Cleo was a real pistol, working as a geriatric case manager until declining vision forced her to stop at the age of 92. Fortunate were those she helped to have such a strong advocate. A third generation Floridian, she came to St Petersburg in the thirties from her native Wauchula to complete the RN training program at Mound Park Hospital (now Bayfront). Prior to “retiring” at age 62, Cleo was a longtime LPN program instructor preceded by years as a county visiting nurse. She was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, William Hiepe, Sr. Cleo will be greatly missed by her daughter Melanie Hollins of Sunset Beach (Webster), son Bill (Kathy) Hiepe of St Petersburg and grandson Hank (Dave) Hollins of Sarasota.
