I was privileged to know Danny for a short time. He was a student on my caseload while at Kamik for 2 years. He was always so upbeat and positive. He was such a joy to know and work with. We all will miss him so much.

I had the privilege of knowing Danny for more than five years, as his 1:1 paraeducator throughout middle school and high school. Despite his circumstances, he was the most courageous and positive person I have ever met. In English class, when an essay question asked him to recount a challenge he had faced in his lifetime, he couldn't think of any! Danny's laughter was contagious, and he was always enthusiastic in his love for orca whales and sharks, the Seahawks, and his wonderful family. He will continue to be an inspiration to all of us.

While I did not have Danny in class at Olympic View, I do remember how much I enjoyed seeing him in the hallways. Whenever he would pass by me, he always greeted me with a smile. Danny, thanks so much for making OV a better place!! My thoughts and prayers are with his family.

I met Danny when he was a freshman at Kamiak high school. He became a good friend over the years. Danny is kind, caring, empathetic and FUNNY. He had a wonderful sense of humor and shared my love of all things silly. We worked together to get his technology set up to his chair. To try out texting on an iPhone using a joystick I said, "Danny, would you like to text my husband something?" He did, and he scrolled through many emojis to land upon the most silly emoji- the poop emoji. We laughed and laughed and I will never forget the smile on his face sending that text message to my husband (who shares a similar silly sense of humor). Danny is missed greatly. I have always looked forward to seeing Danny at school and always felt like I was seeing an old friend because he had a way of making everyone around him feel comfortable. My heart is with your family and I imagine Danny running around in the afterlife waiting to greet us all when we get to the other side. Till I see you again, Danny.

Danny brought energy, light, and enthusiasm to our Science classroom at Olympic View. I could always count on Danny to bring the smiles and the laughter. He was our class jokester--he made everything fun, he lit up when we laughed together, and his joy was infectious. Thank you, Danny, for smiling with me and laughing at my jokes!

Danny and I met on the first day of school in 2013. He was arriving at Fairmount for his first day of 4 th grade and I was hired to work the night before the first day of school. I didn’t know who was working with on my first school Para educator job! We had an instant connection and from then on Danny and I became a team and friends for the next two years at Fairmount. I remember his happy spirit, his big smile during the fun and even when times were frustrating or hard. He had so many friends and teachers who adored him! I will always remember you Danny and I think about all the time. Thank you for being such an amazing inspiration to so many! Sending my thoughts and prayers to your family as they honor and remember you forever.

Danny lit up my 5th grade classroom at Fairmount. Since it was my last year teaching elementary school, Danny and I shared moving up to Olympic View Middle School together. He taught me more than he knew. During the 4 years I knew him, I witnessed his endless joy and his strong love for others. Rarely did a person walk by and not high-5 him (or actually more like 5 on the side or down low!). He loved dance parties in the classroom and even performed the Hamster Dance in our talent show. I wish comfort to all his family, friends, and those who knew him, knowing he's dancing in heaven now with that big smile on his face.

I met Danny when he tried out for the talent show at Olympic View Middle School. He wanted to do break dance routine. He came to every practice session and performed a fabulous routine with the other dancers. The entire school loved his energy and I remember the audience clapping along and Danny smiling his incredible smile. He was a wonderful student to work with and I am so grateful I had the chance to get to know him.

I had the pleasure to teach Danny in middle school phys. ed. One of my favorite moments of Danny, was watching him participate in our bowling unit and get so much joy out of it. He truly was a special soul and a beautiful light in the world.

I so enjoyed having Danny as a student these past three years. His smile was delightful, and his positive attitude was an inspiration. Wishing his family comfort and peace during this difficult time.
