Diana L. Simpson, age 56, of Treasure Island, Florida and formerly of Brick, New Jersey passed away on Friday, April 5, 2019.

Born in Newark, NJ to Dominik and Bogumila Wiktor, she grew up in Cranford, NJ graduating in 1980 before attending Stockton State College. Diana worked for over 25 years at Martindale Hubbell in Accounting & Collections where she met John, the love of her life. They married in May 1993 and moved to Brick, NJ where they enjoyed life at the Jersey shore for many years before moving to Florida in 2012.

Diana loved life and enjoyed being surrounded by family and friends, she was always the life of the party! A Jersey girl at heart, she loved the sand & sea, sailing, boating, traveling, watching Indy Car racing and spoiling her cat Dolly.

Diana & her husband were members of the Point Pleasant Elks, and she spent time volunteering for Support Our Troops and Friends of Strays.

She is survived by her beloved husband John A. Simpson, her sisters Terri & Barbara, her brothers-in-law Matthew & Frederick and their families.

She will be sorely missed by those she leaves behind, but we take comfort in knowing she is being welcomed in heaven by family & friends that have gone before her. Our memories and love for her will never fade, she will remain forever in our hearts.

We are so sorry for your loss. Words cannot express our sorrow. We loved Diana. Diana was one of those special people that brought sunshine into your life. She was one of the most caring, thoughtful, sweet, sensitive, generous and genuine persons that I have had the pleasure and privilege to know. She had a wonderful sense of humor and a great talent for sharing hilarious stories! She LOVED having a good time and was a social butterfly. Diana was a great cook, had a green thumb, loved boating and travel. Most of all she loved her husband John. We will greatly miss Diana but I take solace in the belief that she is with us spiritually. I give thanks for all of the many fond memories that will keep us smiling and remembering the lovely person that she was.

We were constantly together in Jr. High and HIgh School. Hanging with Diana was like hanging with Lucille Ball. Everything was hysterical! She was the first person to make me laugh with my mouth wide open. You know the laugh, the one that comes from the bottom of your soul and is exhilarating and exhausting at the same time. There is never a time when I hear Boston’s “Let Me Take You Home Tonight,” that I don’t think of us eating french fries at the Cranford diner and Diana playing that song on the jukebox. Until we meet again. Rest in peace my friend.
