Dominic Stasi, 68, of Seminole, passed away on August 31, 2020. He was born and raised in Chicago, IL. He was a graduate of Schurz High School and attended Worsham College of Mortuary Science. He owned his own funeral home for 12 years in Southern Illinois. In 1999, he moved to the beaches of Florida to continue his career in funeral service before retiring from Beach Memorial Chapel in 2015. His kind, compassionate character and attention to detail resonated with the families that he cared for.
In his free time, Dominic was incredibly active participating with organizations like the Masonic Lodge, Moose Club, Shriners Hospital, and the American Red Cross. He proudly served with the National Guard, and even served as a Newton, IL alderman.
Dominic is predeceased by his parents, John and Nina Stasi. He is survived by his wife, Vicki Stasi; children, Dominick (Jennifer) Stasi and Jenna (Blake) Stasi; grandchildren, Nicholas and Nina; sister, Joyce Hohn; and extended family.
A visitation will be held 6pm to 8pm Thursday, September 3, 2020, at Beach Memorial Chapel, 301 Corey Ave, St. Pete Beach, FL 33706. A funeral mass will follow 11am Friday, September 4, 2020, at St. John Vianney Catholic Church, 445 82nd Ave, St Pete Beach, FL 33706. Dominic will be laid to rest at Serenity Gardens Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Shriners Hospital for Children, a facility that Dominic was passionate about.
