Dorothy “GG” Hornik, 97, passed away on August 27, 2025. She was born in Cleveland, Ohio. She married the love of her life, Frank Hornik, and together they enjoyed traveling, often including family. Dorothy worked for American Greetings as a key punch supervisor and remained lifelong friends with her co-workers. However, most of her time was spent with her family. Fun holiday baking days at her house was her way of teaching and passing down old family recipes to Linda, Lori and Kristen, which are still cherished today. Frank and Dorothy enjoyed many Saturdays cheering on The Ohio State Buckeyes with their focus on number #83, their son, Joseph. GG moved to Florida after Frank passed away in 1979. She earned her real estate license and began a new career. GG loved to read, play cards, and travel, but she loved her family above all else. She is survived by her daughter, Linda Toth (Anthony) and Joseph Hornik (Debora), and her grandchildren Lori (Ty), Kristen (Kevin), John (Tiffani), and Katherine. She is also survived by her eight great-grandchildren: Chelsea (Spencer), Anthony (Lexus), Kevin, Alana, Brandon, Jolie, Zachary, and Callie. She also had one great-great-granddaughter, Raina, of which she was so proud to have 5 generations. Services will be held at Beach Memorial Chapel, 301 Corey Avenue, SPB, on Sunday, September 7th from 1:00-3:00 and a celebration of life will follow from 3:30-5:30 at the West Clubhouse at Envoy Point Condo, 7100 Sunset Way, SPB.
