Born in Utrecht, Holland, Frank came to the United States at a young age. As a Vietnam Veteran, Frank took great pride in serving with the 82nd Airborne Division. Upon his return, Frank settled in California where he attended college and began his career in the shipping industry. Over four decades he held various high level executive positions and through his hard work and perseverance realized the American dream.
With all of the success he achieved in his life, one thing always remained the same - he was a humble man. Class, consistency and compassion were the virtues he taught his sons and he certainly led by example. Family was always the most important thing in his life. He always remained very close with his sisters and family in Holland and Canada. He enjoyed the simple things in life like sitting on the balcony and watching sunsets, having family BBQs, watching soccer with his dog Dutch by his side, or having a drink with his friends at the American Legion. His grandsons David and Ryan always brought a smile to his face and a special kind of happiness that a grandfather can feel.
Frank is survived by his wife Gail, sons and daughter-in-laws, Don (Melissa) and Michael (Aubrie), and his grandsons David & Ryan.
A Celebration of Life will be held in his honor on Saturday, June 25th from 1-4pm at Mansions by the Sea, 7650 Bayshore Drive, Treasure Island, FL.
