Frank Heliasz was born in 1925 to the late Marta and Franciszek Heliasz.in Germany and he resided in Poland for all of his childhood. He was one of five children; Edward, John, Christina and Henrika. He moved to France in 1945 and joined the US Army as a Sergeant. Frank relocated to the United States of America in 1957, met and married his wife of 56 years, Daniela. He resided with his family in Newark and Irvington, New Jersey until 1985, when he and Daniela relocated to St. Pete Beach. He was a proud owner/proprietor of the Corey Landing Motel for four years. He then enjoyed partial retirement, while employed at Captain Kosmokas restaurant. Frank fully retired in 2005 and enjoyed watching sports, fishing, taking long walks and completing jigsaw puzzles. His family meant everything to him. He is survived by his wife, Daniela, daughter Diana Gebhardt and son-in-law Ken Gebhardt, granddaughter, Kelsey Gebhardt, step-son Chris Kleban and grandsons Christopher and Michael Kleban. A life celebration memorial service is planned for Saturday March 30, 2019 at 12 noon at Beach Memorial Chapel 301 Corey Avenue St Pete Beach (727) 360-5577. Following the service there will be a fellowship reception gathering at the funeral home.
