Gerhard Endress, 82, of St Pete's Beach Florida passed away on August 24, 2022. Gerhard was born on December 21, 1939 to Karl and Frida Endress in Säckingen, Germany. After graduating Watchmaking School in Germany at 14, he soon moved to Delhi, LA and became a US citizen. In Delhi, he met his first wife Judy Jinks and they had two sons Gerald and Kris. He was an accomplished, Master Watchmaker in Delhi, LA, Fayetteville, AR, and Memphis TN. In Memphis, he met his wife Gillian Galanter, whom he spent the rest of his life with, eventually retiring to St Pete's Beach, FL. Gerhard suffered a massive stroke in 2014 and lost the functional use of his left arm. He reinvented himself as an artist and always kept his sense of hope and determination. His art gave joy and hope to so many. Gerhard's motto was Never Give Up! Gerhard loved soccer, tennis, and travel, but he was known as an outstanding gardner. His gardens were the envy of many neighbors and friends. We will all miss his unique sense of humor and outlook on the world. Gerhard is predeceased by his parents Karl and Frida, sister Ilse and Ruth. He is survived by his wife, Gillian; his brother Peter (wife Ingrid), his children Gerald (husband Scott) and Kris (wife Ronda), his stepson Joel (wife Stephanie), and grandsons Seth, Elijah, Sam, and Ben.
