Joan Allen age 79, of St Pete Beach, FL passed away October 22, 2016 at Mid Pinellas Hospice Care Center Pinellas Park, FL. She was born in Providence, RI and moved to St Pete Beach in September 2015 from Port Charlotte, FL. She was an avid reader of all types of books, loved Boston Red Sox and Tampa Bay Rays Baseball, New England Patriots Football, Boston Bruins Hockey and a big fan of NASCAR. She is predeceased by her husband Charles E Allen Sr. Survivors include son Charles Allen Jr. (Becky), daughters, Kimberly Liston (Frank), and Roni Lincoln (Doug), Stepsons, David and Jay Allen, and stepdaughter Denise Nunes, grandchildren Jeffrey and Amanda, and the family pet dog JAX. Funeral arrangements by Beach Memorial Chapel, St. Pete Beach. No local services or visitation hours. A graveside memorial service will be held in Exeter, RI at Veterans Memorial Cemetery at a later date.
