Joanne was someone you don't forget. She mothered two wonderful ladies which offer us an  extension of herself.

Paul and  Family,  On this anniversary I’d like to say what a HERO OF HER LIFE, Joanne  was. She held strong to her values- Love, compassion. kindness, n intellect—-she knew WHO SHE WAS n what she expected from others n herself.  Truly, ya all, what an example ❣️ When I think  about  Joanne I get a feeling of how one can hold true to a value system n oneself n family n 
make the world  a better place.Loving  you all sooo much was a strength you share with gratitude n joy.

At my house in Justice, IL (Fred, Joanne, and Bob) for my oldest daughter's birthday. Joanne was always a beauty, and my very close friend.

I just learned of Joanne’s passing. I am so very sorry to learn that she passed early this year. I always considered her my best friend growing up. My most heartfelt condolences to Paul, Kelly, Stephanie and their families.

She was and always will be a great women and a wonderful soulmate to Paul. You made a great couple.  She was the Salt and Paul was the Pepe. She will be always thought of and remembered. Me and Daniella will miss her and we were always treated so good by her when invited into your home when visiting. Just always remember the good times Paul. We will be here for you forever to guide you through these times. She would have honored you just as you have gracefully honored her.

Patti and I were very sorry to hear of Joanne's passing. What a great lady. Joanna was a great contributor to our small village and a great friend. She will be missed by many.  RIP Joanne.

I was devastated learning that it was time for me to call and say my goodbyes to Joanne. I never thought in a million year I would be making a phone call to say goodbye to one of the most incredible people I know. I met Joanne when I was a child, but her and I did not get close until my freshman year of college. College was a difficult time for me, just as it was for most people, but the worst part about it was the lack of family and friends. When I explained to my grandpa how difficult it was for me being alone, he told me I was not alone and he gave me Joanne’s number. I remember being so nervous speaking to her the first time, but she welcomed me with open arms. For the next four years Joanne and Pep cared for me and loved me as if I was their own daughter. Senior year was the worst year of all because of my roommates. I remember Pep and Joanne pulling up to my dorm and me running into Joanne’s arms with tears in my eyes. I explained the situation I was in and she did what any mother would do and marched upstairs ready to raise hell on all my roommates, but they were lucky enough not to be in the room at that exact moment. I knew Joanne would have spoken her mind about the situation because that was the type of person she was, fearless. I loved that about her and was envious of her courage. There are so many amazing memories I have had the pleasure to make with Joanne, but I will forever miss our late night talks in her bedroom about our family and its extensive history, our lives where she provide some of the most unforgettable advice and her favorite subject to talk about history, especially pertaining to WWII. I like to believe that Joanne helped shape me into the woman I am today with her wisdom. I  love you Jojo! May you continue to guide me through life’s never ending challenges with the words of wisdom you gave me all those years ago. Pep, Stephanie, Kelly, and Michael, I am so extremely sorry for your loss. Joanne was a gift to us all.

Words cannot express the sadness on Joanne’s passing. Not knowing what the future holds for any of us, I think back that I am so grateful I was able to visit a few years back. It was wonderful to see both of you and relive some of the good times and laughs we had back in Chicago. It was like old times. 
In my conversations with Joanne she was a very strong woman and I feel had a sharp wit about her. 
You knew were you stood.

Our sincere condolences on the passing of Joanne. I remember all the joyful and happy times at the parties we had at your house back here in Chicago. She was always so happy that everyone could get together and she greeted everyone with that big smile!
Florida separated us for a while, but we hooked up again and on a number of occasions we were able to drive up from our place on Marco Island for daily visits, and there was that big smile again, just like I remembered.
Pep, I know there are no words that can ease your pain. Just know we'll always be there for you.

How fortunate we all were to have called Joanne Mrs./life partner, mother, grandma, sister, aunt, neighbor and friend. Her presence in our lives will live on. There was no mistake you always knew Jo was gracefully & wholeheartedly in your space. Maybe, because she served as a school board member in her daughters elementary school?  Her passing certainly leaves an emptiness in us all. We are all grateful for our time with her. She was one of the best of us.

Joanne’s passing leaves us with memories of her beautiful, beaming smile, bright brown eyes,  and equal parts intensity, wit and lightness. Her love and light live on forever, especially as we continue, throughout the years ahead, to say her name and share our cherished Joanne moments with Paul, Stephanie and Kelly. My heart is broken at the sudden loss of my Aunt. The past few days I have been thinking about all the time I spent at her and my Uncle’s house growing up. She took such good care of me, and we shared so many laughs. These memories are still so clear in my mind and I will keep her close in my heart. I want to send all my love to my Uncle Pep, and my cousins Kelly and Stephanie. You are all in my thoughts.

Shelly and I were saddened after hearing about Joanne.  She was an incredible woman with a big heart and had so many amazing years by Paul’s side. I’m really saddened by the loss of my favorite cousin whom I have had the pleasure of being around for many years. Her independence was one of her qualities that was admired by all. She leaves behind the family that she guided through the ups and downs of life. God bless Joanne now that she’s with her father,mother and brother, she’s always in our hearts.
