

He was born on the Ides of March 1935 and grew up in Ashland, PA. He graduated from Penn State after serving a short time in the Army. He received an MBA from Drexel University.
He then became a CPA and entered the world of business. He eventually became a highly successful and prominent corporate executive, working for such companies as SPS Tech, C-Cor and Paper Manufacturers, Inc. He also served as a Board member of numerous corporations and institutions, including hospitals and charities. During this time, he moved from Southampton PA to St. Petersburg Florida, living on Bayway Isles.
He became an active member of St. Petersburg Country Club, where he regularly played golf and tennis. He remained a passionate Penn state football fan, never missing a game. He loved jazz and Frank Sinatra and Tony Bennett.
He leaves behind his wife of 67 years, Shirley Omlor, a sister, Dorothy Ann Kopfinger, two sons, John and David, a daughter in law, Marlene Kane Omlor, two granddaughters Sarah and Shannon and their husbands Tyler Deitrick and Alex Provan, respectively. He also lived to see one great-granddaughter, Mia Deitrick.
He loved and was loved by his entire extended family. He will be profoundly missed.
