

Joseph Sulaitis 96, of St Petersburg, FL died August 29, 2017. He was born June 29, 1921 in Lithuania and lived in Chicago, IL since 1949 before moving to Florida in 1990. While in Chicago Mr. Sulaitis was employed by several engineering companies. After retirement and moving to Florida he was a member of the Lithuanian American Club where he and his late wife Aldona enjoyed the fellowship of the Lithuanian Community in St Petersburg. Joseph was also a member of the Lithuanian Tautininku Organization. He was grateful for the many years associated with the community of Point Brittany and the many friends they had gained while residents there. He was also a member of the Men's Round Table at Point Brittany. Joseph is predeceased by his wife Aldona who died in January 2015. Survivors include daughter Dalia Remys (Edmund) of St Petersburg, brother Edvardas Sulaitis of Cicero, IL and other relatives in the US and Lithuania. A special thanks to the staff of Westminster Suncoast Healthcare Center for their excellent care and a special thanks to Dr Adam Prawer for his compassion and professional care. Visiting hours are planned for Saturday September 2, 2017 from 1 to 3 pm at Beach Memorial Chapel 301 Corey Avenue St Pete Beach, FL (727) 360-5577. Interment will take place in St Casimir Cemetery in Chicago, IL.
