Loretta Kynas, age 83, of South Pasadena, Florida passed away on Monday March 19, 2018. Loretta was born July 17, 1934 in Lithuania and came to the United States in 1949. She became a Florida resident in 1986 coming from Illinois. Loretta was a member and past president, vice president and director of the Lithuanian American Club in St Petersburg, FL., the Lithuanian Retirees Club, the Catholic Daughters, and Folk Dancing Group and Chorus. She enjoyed boat cruises and traveling back to her beloved homeland in Lithuania. Loretta was very active and energetic and taught others how to really enjoy life. Her hobbies included reading and baking. Survivors include her companion Vilius Juska; daughters Levinia, and Victoria; 3 granddaughters; 2 great grandchildren; sister Angela Dirkis; 2 nieces, many dear friends here in the US, and cousins in Lithuania. She is predeceased by husband Kazys Kynas.
A public visitation for Loretta will be held Monday, March 26, 2018 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Beach Memorial Chapel, 301 COREY AVE, ST PETE BEACH, FL 33706. A Funeral Mass will occur Monday, March 26, 2018 at 11:30 AM at St Casmir's Lithuanian Mission, 555 68th Avenue, St Pete Beach, FL 33706, followed by graveside services at Memorial Park Cemetery, 5750 49th St N, St Petersburg, FL 33709. Donations may be made to Suncoast Hospice 5771 Roosevelt Blvd Clearwater, FL 33760.
