Marcy Vosburgh Myers (64) passed away on June 3, 2016 surrounded by family. Born in Oak Park, IL on December 6, Marcy came out of the womb ready to entertain. A natural performer with a gift for storytelling, she studied at the Goodman School of Drama in Chicago before moving to Los Angeles where she found success writing for television on shows like “The Jeffersons” and “Married with Children”. She and her husband retired to St. Petersburg in 2009. In the home, Marcy was like Martha Stewart (sans the jail time), and she could throw a party people of all ages would enjoy. She rarely met a candle she didn’t like and was a firm believer in lighting the good ones, even if she was the only one home. Marcy oozed joie de vivre and seemed able to do anything. If you needed a place stay, a joke for your script, or even flower arrangements for your daughter’s bat mitzvah, Marcy had you covered. She simply never failed to show up for the people she loved. Her laugh was infectious; her smile, luminous; and her sense of self, unwavering. Everyone who knew her agrees there was no one quite like Marcy, and we’re all better for having known her. Marcy is survived by her husband of 29 years, Tom Myers; her daughter, Chelsea; her father, William Vosburgh; her siblings, Donna Kasallis (Bruce) and Bill, Jr.; and countless more loving family members and friends who were like family. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her honor to your favorite non-profit, so she can spread light even in death. A memorial service celebrating her life will be announced in the near future. Condolences may be offered at www.beachmemorial.com.
