Mary P Borries

BORRIES, Mary 89, a long time resident of St. Pete Beach and most recently South Pasadena, FL passed peacefully at Bayfront Hospice surrounded by her loving family on October 13, 2017. Mary was born in New York along with her brother and two sisters and moved to St. Pete Beach in 1963 where she raised her 3 children Joseph, Linda and John. She worked nearby for the former First Gulf Beach Bank where she was a Trust Officer. Mary later became a successful business woman running her own local gift shop at Dolphin Village. A member of St John Vianney Catholic Church, Mary was loved by all who met her and was active with her church and later with the Fountains at Boca Ciega Bay where she served on the Resident Council as Chairwoman of the Library Committee. Mary loved reading. She was active socially and enjoyed family gatherings where she doted over her grandchildren. Mary especially enjoyed movies but nothing was more special than going to a movie theater with her grandchildren. She never missed calling or sending a card to her family's birthday.

She is survived by her 3 children and their spouses: Joseph & Janel, Linda & Pete and John & Dawn. Her Sister Nina Luse and grandchildren: Nicholas, Jason, Hannah, Haley, Andrew and Alexa along with great-granddaughter Victoria.

In lieu of flowers donations may be sent to the St. Pete Beach Library or St John Vianney Catholic Church. Visitation hours are planned for Friday Oct 20, 2017 from 5:30 to 7:30 pm at Beach Memorial Chapel 301 Corey Ave St Pete Beach, FL. 360-5577. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday Oct 21, 2017 at 9:15 am at St John Vianney Catholic Church.
