Mary Jane Christensen

96, of Gulfport, Florida, passed away Peacefully at home November 3, 2016 with family.

She was born August 16, 1920 in Minneapolis, Minnesota, the daughter of Victor and Amelia (Erickson) Johansen. Mary Jane resided in San Diego, California until 2008 when her daughter, Susan Hershman, moved her to Gulfport. Mary Jane attended Our Savior Lutheran Church in St. Petersburg, Florida . She lived a full life with her husband and family enjoying many cruises. In Florida, she enjoyed spending time with her daughter, Susan, and best friend, Brenda.

In addition to her parents and siblings, she was preceded in death by her husband, Roy. Survivors include her son, Bob; and daughters, Stefani Christensen and Susan Hershman.

A memorial service will be held at 1:30pm Saturday, November 19th at Beach Memorial Chapel. Mary Jane will be laid to rest with her husband, Roy, at Fort Rosecrans National Cemetery in San Diego, California.
