Mary Celeste Kennedy

Mary Celeste Kennedy, 85, of Gulfport, FL, died at Lexington Health & Rehab Center in St. Petersburg, FL, on December 24, 2015. She was born in Baltimore, MD, to John E. Garner and Mary Alice Wade Garner. She was employed by Maryland National Bank as a Customer Service Representative for many years before she moved with her family to Florida in 1988 from Arnold, Maryland. She is predeceased by husband, William Kennedy, who died on December 12, 1994; and brother, Carroll Garner. Mary is survived by son, John W. (Karen) Kennedy, of Tierra Verde, FL; daughters, Bernadette “Bernie” (Lee) Craig, of Treasure Island, FL; and Carol (Jim Metevia) Kennedy, of St. Pete Beach, FL; brother, John Garner, Jr., of Pasadena, MD; sisters, Bernadette (Charles) Mathews of Mt. Airy, MD; Shirley Garner of Eldersburg, MD; grandson William (Marissa) Kennedy of Jacksonville, NC and great-granddaughter, Sophia Kennedy, of Jacksonville, NC. A memorial service will be held at Beach Memorial Chapel 301 Corey Avenue St. Pete Beach, FL 33706 on Friday, January 15, 2016 at 3pm. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Suncoast Hospice (www.thehospice.org/donate). Beach Memorial Chapel has been entrusted with arrangements.
