Rosita Blas Flack

Rosita Blas Flack, fondly known as “Rosie,” passed away peacefully with her loved ones by her side. She was born in Honolulu, Hawaii, and after spending her last 37 years in Florida, her most recent residence was in St. Petersburg

Rosie was predeceased by her parents, Zoilo Daquioag and Maria Blas; and sisters, Evelina Blas Daquioag and Leonora Blas Daquioag.

Rosie is survived by her husband, Billy Joe Flack and their basset hound, GoGo. She has three daughters: Sherry Lynn (Marcelino) Ocasio; Leah Marliese Flack (deceased); and Alpha Maria (Elgin) Hicks. She leaves behind nine grandchildren: Bryan, Marc, Sarah, D’Andre, Marliese, Aryana, Brayson, Cheaven, Marlayna; and five great grandchildren. She is additionally survived by her brother Rizal Blas Daquioag and sister Christina Daquioag Aguon.

Rosie will dearly be kept close in the hearts of her family, relatives, and friends. She will be remembered for her captivating smile, endearing personality, and colorful sense of humor. Rosie was also well known for being a very proud grandmother, playing an active and integral part in her grandchildren’s lives.

Rosie will be laid to rest at the Sarasota VA National Cemetery.
