Growing up in a military family, Scott was a world traveler and lived in 6 states and two foreign countries before the age of 18. After high school graduation in Kaiserslautern, Germany, he enlisted in the United States Air Force and served for four years in Colorado before being honorably discharged and moving on to join the telecommunications industry, an industry for which he worked tirelessly his entire career. He spent time in Boston, MA, where he met his future bride Laura before relocating and settling in his dream home in Madeira Beach, FL.
Scott had a profound effect on those who knew and loved him. He was known for his quick wit and sense of humor, his tireless efforts helping others, his boundless energy, and his infectious positive outlook on life. He could fix anything, cook anything, and take care of any problem or situation and never needed to be asked to do any of these things. Scott lived a big life, and everyone who was part of his life was better for the experience.
He is preceded in death by his father Edward Lee Ellis. He is survived by his loving wife of 30 years Laura Gonsalves Ellis; his two sons Boston Tiberius Ellis and Cayman Lee Ellis; his mother June Cox Ellis; his brother Glenn Ellis; and his sister Tracy Ellis Zaldivar.
Services will he held on Saturday, December 10, 2022, at Beach Memorial Chapel, 301 Corey Avenue, St. Pete Beach, from 11 AM until 2 PM.
Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.beachmemorial.com for the Ellis family.
