Sheila Carnes

Sheila W. Carnes, 92 of St. Petersburg. Born December 4, 1930 in Brooklyn New York. Passed peacefully February 27, 2023 at her home. She was the loving daughter of Norman F. Waugh and Bessie M. Waugh (nee Marriott).

Sheila lived in England and Brazil before moving back to the United States where she attended college in Morgantown, WV, earning her degree in Home Economics and Business.

She and her husband owned the Cadillac Motel in St. Pete Beach and after they sold the Motel, she worked at Weight Watchers for over 40 years. After she retired, she loved to travel.

Sheila had a love for animals and always had a houseful of rescue dogs or whatever type of animal the children brought home.

She was predeceased by spouse Robert T. Renner and 2nd spouse William W. Carnes and daughter Geneva E. Martin.

Sheila is survived by children Dr. Robert S. Carnes (Boerne, TX), Leslie J. Renner (John), (Maineville, OH), Kenneth B. Renner (St. Petersburg, FL) and John A. Renner (Deidre) (St. Petersburg, FL). Sheila is also survived by grandchildren Elizabeth and Noble Renner (Tucson, TX) and Hannah and Kyle Renner (St. Petersburg, FL).
