Tom always said, "We have the best moms" and he was right. I've been fortunate to call Suzanne my mother-in-law for just a few shorts months, but I've been blessed to know her for the past 10 years as the Mother of my Prince Charming. In that time, I've come to know an angel on earth! Suzanne did more than just talk about her Christian faith -- she lived it each and every day through her overwhelming kindness, her unconditional love of others, and her non-judgmental behavior toward all. When I think of a great example of how God wants us to live our lives, Suzanne is at the top of my list. She has left a legacy of a beautiful family who will be challenged in the years to come as they mourn her passing, but we all have a perfect role model to emulate. She is and always will be a bright ray of sunshine whether on earth or in Heaven. My darling, Suzanne, thank you for your love and example! You did life well. Love you so much, Kim Teichert

I was so sad to hear of the passing of my good friend Suzie. We met in 1957 when my husband and I moved our family to Lansing, Michigan. We became fast friends and remained close for over 60 years! Suzie was a wonderful person and always a joy to be around. Every memory is a happy memory. I will miss her terribly. I extend my deepest condolences to the entire Teichert family.

To My Cousins,

I am so very sorry to hear about the passing of your Mother, my Aunt Suzie. Aunt Suzie always welcomed me in no matter what was going on and made me feel like one of her own. I will truly miss her kind, loving and fun spirit when I visit Gulfside Resort. Everytime I visited she reminded me of the time at the house in St. Johns when I was just a little girl and I got into the chocolate pudding. She then asked me if I had gotten into the pudding and I said No with chocolate pudding all over my face. I am now 45 and she would still remind me of that chocolate pudding.

Giving you all a huge hug from Michigan. Heaven gained another Angel to look after us.

Love to you all!

Kristi

Kathy and family,
Our hearts go out to you. Suzie was such a delight...a true spark of light who had this natural gift to include everyone, yet make each guest feel special and welcome. We would chuckle at the length of tubing trailing behind her, wrapped around the legs of lawn chairs. She never let the oxygen tank slower her down one bit. We're so glad we were able to spend time with her last month. How fortunate you have so many fun, wonderful memories of your mom. This tiny, ball of energy who had an impact on so many people across this entire country...and beyond! Thank you for sharing Suzie and her enthusiasm for life with all of us. What an accomplishment! She sure raised some great kids as well. She will be dearly missed. Love and hugs to your entire family.

What an amazing woman Suzanne was! The world would truly be a better place if there were more great mothers in the world like her. She raised a great bunch of children that always knew what mattered in life- family and happiness. She opened up her home to anyone who came and did so with a great big smile on her face. She will definitely be missed! ❤️

From the first time I met Suzie, I was treated like a valued friend. What a talent she had for welcoming people and making them feel at home! My favorite saying of hers was “Son of a biscuit bun”!!
I had the pleasure of sharing Suzie and Gulfside with my granddaughter and she still talks about our visit there. She was truly a wonderful, remarkable person and I am so glad I had the chance to know her. My thoughts and prayers are with her family as they mourn their loss.
