When I think of “Cody”…a few of many thoughts come to mind…

‘Tom is coming for dinner…make sure you have enough food…and make sure we have a ‘Cody Cake!’

’I picked him for the Christmas grab bag-GOLF BALLS will be just perfect!’

‘…and always a smile on his face!’...

My all time loving favorite and precious cherished memory…
…about 45 years ago, I was the newest member of the family. We were hosting our first Thanksgiving gathering. Needless to say, I was a bit apprehensive (for this was a fairly judgmental group ☺). I wanted to make a good impression and presentation, and decided to make a 14 layer Jell-O mold (what was I ever thinking!)…as I was most carefully plating this outrageously colored and delicate creation…there is slid…layer by layer...onto the counter…with frayed nerves and eyes wide opened…Cody walked in at that exact moment...looked at me…the Jell-O mess…and burst into laughter!
We looked at each other smiling and laughing.
We bonded at that moment.
A bond that will never be broken…
With love to my dearest brother-in-law,
Lizzie

My favorite lasting memory of TC took place over 60 years ago.
TC and I were play-wresting in my parent’s living room.
TC, with his amazing agility, flipped me over his head and my leg collided with my Mom’s prized and favorite crystal compote dish … pieces shattering everywhere.
In utter fear and disbelief, I fled and locked myself in the bathroom, anticipating extreme reprisals from my Mom.
In Tom’s inimitable manner, he managed to disarm this situation and transform a mishap into a treasured memory.

Thank you Tom, if not for you, I firmly believe my stay in the bathroom would have been greatly extended!

Rest in peace my dear brother-in-law,
Tommy

Rosie and Family,
Lois and I are deeply saddened to hear of the passing of Tom . He will always be part of our great memories spent with you and he, from Boston to Hawaii, from San Diego to New Orleans from Vermont to Florida from Rhode Island to Las Vegas and the list goes on and on. Tom was always one of my favorite people, I met him on a job in Bloomfield CT in the 60s and that friendship endured for the next 55 Years and what great years they were. There were times we might not see each other for years at a time but when we did, it was like it was yesterday and we picked up where we left off .
Rosie, I do hope we will all see each other at least one more time in this life, you are also one of my favorite people. And if not maybe we might meet again with Tom on the other side.
Much love, Mike & Lois Blackburn
