From Sunrise April 8, 1946 to Sunset February 18, 2016
On April 8, 1946 a blessing arrived of a handsome baby boy to the proud parents of Essie Brown (Montgomery) and Adam Patterson of (Hopehull) Alabama. He was named Adam Patterson Jr. in honor of his father. The family moved to Autauga County and grew to a combined family of 6 siblings; 3 sisters: Lucille “Bobbie”(Montgomery) Willie “Bell” (Montgomery) and Marilyn (Jean) Selma; 3 brothers: Robert (Chief) Dunn, James(Jolly) and, Adolphus (L).
He attended Autauga County Training High school and after enlisted in the United States Army in 1965 alongside his eldest brother Robert (Chief). He served his country with honor and dedication completing two tours one in the army in which he received promotions and recommendations for exceeding job expectations and the final tour from the U.S Air Force in which he served until 1976. He was employed at Veterans Affairs in Houston Texas from 1990 until retirement in 2005 where he partook in entrepreneur authorship.
In 1967 he met the love of his life Christine Woods Patterson in Autaugaville Alabama whom he would marry and spend the rest of his days. They moved to Houston Texas to join their brother James and Sister Martha and fulfill their professional lives as an entrepreneur in the haircare industry (Adam) and LVN (Christine). They built a solid foundation of love trust and friendship that stands the test of time. To their union of marriage 3 sons were born Kevin (Craig), John Fredrick, Adam Christopher Patterson.
Adam Patterson Jr. will truly be missed by a host of family and friends. He leaves to cherish his wife of 47 years Christine Patterson. Devoted Brother James (Martha) Patterson and Loving Sisters: Lucille Patterson McCall, Willie B. Patterson and Marilyn “Jean” (Frank)Patterson Chestnut. Honored Uncle’s Willie “Dude” (Charlena) Patterson and William “Dave”(Mattie) of Montgomery. Three hard-working and honorable sons: Kevin (Andrea) Patterson, John Frederick Patterson, Adam (Kimberly) Patterson. Cherished eldest daughter Annette Patterson-Geeter-Morris Faithful In-laws of Alabama Johnnie Lou (Mose) Harrell, Willie Mae (Eugene) Brown, Mary (Richard) Bailey and Bertha Lee Woods “T-Bird” Gertrude (Mose) Dennis, Jeremiah (Shirley) Woods, Dave Woods; Clifton “Chip” (Mattie) Audrey, Kevin and Kelly Dove of Houston Tx. Grandchildren: Christopher Stinson, Alexus (Joshua) Stewart, John “Scoop” Jr., Taylor Christian, Autumn Jonet, Caitlyn, Ashley, Aerial, Kevin Jr., Christine, Shaun Getter (Montgomery)and Erica Getter(Houston) (Alabama). Great Grandchildren; Joshua, Ja,Kobe, Jaylon(Houston), Kaylen, Taylor Thomas, Bryce Adams(Alabama) Josiah Jones(Houston). Loving Nieces Lisa (Jeff) Raval, Marilyn (Joshua) Matthews, Crystal (Alabama) and Caring Nephews James “Jimbo” Patterson(Houston), Frank, Prince, and Kedrick Chestnut (Alabama) and a host of family members that truly loved him.
