Aida Pearl Green-Guzman of Missouri City passed away peacefully on 25 March 2020, in Sugarland, Texas at the age of 77. Aida was born in Brownsville, Texas to Raul Trevino and Maria Luisa Ana Morelos on December 7, 1942. Aida was the third of ten children. She was a graduate of Brownsville High School. She was preceded in death by her parents, sister Minerva Cavazos, brothers Enrique “Kiko” Trevino and Reynaldo J. “Penny” Trevino.
She is survived by her husband Pat Guzman; her sons John Green and his wife, Kelly, of Houston; Kenneth Green of Friendswood; step-sons Joseph Guzman of Tomball; Ivan Guzman and his wife, Angie, of Round Rock; four grandchildren Noah, Andrew, Kaelynn and Jenna; her extended family Carlos and Sonia Gallardo Moran and their sons Diego and Danny; her brothers, sisters, many nieces and nephews. She was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church in Missouri City. She loved sports and closely followed all of the Houston teams.
Aida will be remembered by her family and many friends for her intelligence, warm laugh, endless capacity for love and forgiveness, and resilient spirit in the face of heartbreak and calamity. In these deeply uncertain days, we will especially hold dear the calm observation she frequently imparted when all hope seemed lost: "The birds are still singing."
