Albert R Brooks

Albert R Brooks, age 76, of Meadows Place, Texas passed away peacefully on Saturday December 14, 2019. Albert was born August 8, 1943 in Breckenridge county, Kentucky to Latney Brooks and Gressie Brooks along with eleven siblings.

His passion was his Horses, especially Belgian Draft horses. He loved his farm where he raised hay and took care of his horses, cows and chickens. He would often walk down the long lane with his dogs. He loved buying and selling property and had a real estate license at one time. He could fly a plane and loved all things aerodynamic. You could often find him at a Antique store or rummage sale trying to find a good deal. One of his occupations was as a semi tractor trailer driver and he once stated that he had almost been to every state.

He married the love of his life, Shelley, on October 14, 1996 at the Matagorda County court house in Texas. They were together for 23 years. He was the happiest when he was with Shelley and would often write her letters and poems. Together they raised five children and he is survived by 9 grandchildren.

Albert is survived by his wife Shelley Brooks, his son David and wife Ami, grand daughter Katie, son- Danny and son Jason, wife Andrea and their children. His step children- Allen, Beth, Jordan, Paul and Matthew and their wives. His grand children- Justin, April, Jillyin, Ella, Landon, Adelea, Oryx and Anastasia.

Albert's family and friends will celebrate his life on June 13th and lay him to rest in Hayworth Illinois.
