Armando worked for the City of Houston for 20 years. He loved to swim in his younger days.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Maria del Refugio and Jesus R. Serna; brother, Mauro Serna and son-in-law, Rogelio Garza. Armando is survived by his wife of 68 years, Emma Serna; his children, David A. Serna, Jesse R. Serna, and Cynthia J. Garza all of Houston. His sisters, Mirtha Flores of Chicago, Il., Olivia Sanchez of Laredo, TX, Gloria Quintana of Chicago, Il, Oralia Garcia of Dallas, TX and sister-in-law Juanita Serna of Laredo, TX.
