Arturo was born on December 13, 1958 in San Luis Potosi to Maria and Santiago Ramirez.
He then learned his professional craft of upholstery at the age of 16 by learning from his father. Later on in life he would move to Houston, TX when he was 18 years old. He worked in various upholstery shops, but there was a special shop where he felt like part of the family, which was Emilio’s Upholstery. After feeling confident enough, he created his own company, D’Art Upholstery. He continued to exponentially increase his upholstery skills and made a name for himself as a very successful upholsterer, gaining the trust of many interior designers and accomplishing complicated projects for all of his customers. There he would work and take his usual vacations back to Mexico and every now and then to Acapulco, Mexico. In Acapulco in September of 1990, he met the woman of his dreams, Fausta Denas Rendon. They kept in contact with each other by mail for up to one year until finally he came back to Acapulco and asked her to marry him on August 15, 1991. She said yes and followed him to Houston where they happily married and settled for 30 years. Both created a wonderful life together in marriage and proudly raised three boys. They never missed a chance to be adventurous and discover new and exciting places.
He loved outdoor activities like fishing, shooting, camping, and most of all, traveling. He deeply enjoyed music, especially classic rock. His favorite color was white, for the purity it represents.
