Barbara Richards

Barbara Carol Huyett was born on November 5th, 1940 to Helene Pflueger and Luther Kurtz Huyett in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. She graduated from Oley High in Oley, Pennsylvania. She married Chief Petty Officer David Richards of the United States Coast Guard on March 21, 1970.

Barbara was a daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She loved riding horses and enjoyed playing the harp. Barbara joined the Catholic Church 30 years ago, attended daily mass at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church in Sugar Land, was a member of the Catholic Daughters of America, a Eucharistic minister and participated in several prayer groups throughout her life. Her life’s passion was centered on her immediate, extended, and adopted family.

Barbara passed away on April 22, 2019 after being ill for several years.

Barbara is survived by her husband, David Richards; daughters, Belinda Johnson, Laura Jacobs, Maria Henry and Sharon Eppolito; sons, Jacob Poroo and David Richards; sister, Patricia Taylor; brother, Luther Huyett; as well as 14 grandchildren and 26 great grandchildren.
