Barbara is married to my best friend, Rick, whom I consider to be my brother and I love him like a brother, which means Barbara is a very special lady to me. As my best friend, Rick and I play together and hurt together, and we are both hurting together because of Barbara's death. My favorite story about Barbara is about how she was so mad at me because I did not keep Rick from having a few drinks on their wedding day, as she had asked me to do because I was the best-man at their wedding. As a result of Rick and I having a few drinks during the day, Rick and I were not in ideal condition for the wedding and we probably laughed way too much during the ceremony. Boy, was Barbara mad at me and Rick! But, she knew that is just the way we were and she eventually was able to laugh about what we did and how stupid we were for doing it. She was right...we were stupid for doing it! Rick is a great person, and Barbara made him an even greater person. Barbara, God bless you! My condolences to Rick and Barbara's family. Rick, all my condolences to you. Barbara was my bud at the weekly Metropolitan Business Alliance meetings. I will miss her directness and humor. She had an amazing talent for design and style. All my prayers to you and the family.

Barbara was the true meaning of the word FRIEND.  I considered her my sister. Whenever we would go anywhere, heads would always turn noticing her entering a room.  Never a stitch out of place. Absolutely beautiful!  Prayers to you Rick, Diane, Mary and family.  I will miss you sweet Barbara.

Barbara was the rare and lovely combination of zest, drive, honesty, class and style.  Unafraid of stating her thoughts.  Kind beyond measure and blessed with great wit.  My God how I do miss her.
