Bonita Eleanor Stommel

Born in Southern California to John and Cleo Binard, where she was a California Golden Girl. She was a loving and devoted wife to Charles Joseph Stommel, who swept her off her feet and brought her to Texas where the transformation to Texan was completed. She kept her family close as they were the center of her life. Bonnie was involved in her church and community, and she treasured the many lifelong friendships she formed throughout the years.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 40 years, her son Thomas Joseph Stommel, and her parents.

She is survived by her daughters, Deborah Stommel-Daniels and Susan Stommel; her grandchildren, Ashley Biddle (Nick), Victoria McClanahan (Hayden), Aaron Stommel (Quan), Lyndsey Stommel, and Ryan Stommel (Kassie); and her great-grandchildren, June Biddle, Rowan McClanahan, Isabel Stommel, Xander Stommel, Zakary Heinemeyer, Tyler Waldrop, Alexa Waldrop, Bella Stommel, and Aiden Stommel.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, August 26, 2026, at St. Laurence Catholic Church, 3100 Sweetwater Blvd., Sugar Land, Texas, 77479.

The family is grateful to all the family and friends who were part of her life.

In lieu of flowers, the family ask and appreciate donations be made to St. Laurence Parish.
