Brandon was born on November 16, 1984, in Houston, Texas, at The Woman's Hospital of Texas to Kirk Wilridge and Darlene Johnson. He was the second child of this union. As a child, he loved watching Saturday morning cartoons, playing video games, and playing outside in the neighborhood.
The family moved to Missouri City, Texas, in the late 1980s, where Brandon began planting his roots. He attended Willowridge Baptist Church in Stafford, Texas, in his early years, where he was baptized, and joined the Youth Bible ministry meetings and the Youth Prayer groups. He loved to hear the choir sing and musicians play. He attended Quail Valley Elementary, Lantern Lane Elementary, and Quail Valley Middle School. In 2004, Brandon graduated from Elkins High School in Missouri City, Texas. After high school, he attended Blinn College and later earned an associate’s degree in communications at Houston Community College. He also earned an HVAC certification.
Brandon started working after high school with DJ & Associates as a scouter, gaining experience before changing career paths. He worked in the logistics supply industry for years, employed by Men’s Wearhouse and UPS. He obtained his Forklift certification while employed with UPS. After encountering legal issues, he became a landscaper and construction laborer, working in several areas throughout the Houston area.
Throughout his life, Brandon continued to attend church services. He joined Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Houston, Texas, in 2011 and devoted his time to attending services and studying the Bible. Later, Brandon and Monae met in Houston, TX, and formed a relationship and created a family. They began attending church services together. He prioritized his time with his sons, Gary and Marcquce. He enjoyed participating in any events the boys had, such as football or basketball games. He bragged about both of them and spoke highly of his sons.
Brandon had an aspiration of becoming a sports commentator. He loved music from the South, listening to DJ Screw and the S.U.C (Screwed Up Click), Z-Ro, Master P, and many more artists. He enjoyed different sports; football was his favorite. Always rooting for the home teams, whether it was the Oilers or the Texans, unless they were playing against some of his favorite players. He enjoyed it because of the game's concepts and strategies. Brandon enjoyed playing card games like Blackjack, Solitaire, and Poker, and traveling to the casinos on occasion.
His personable character attracted people to him. He stayed in contact with everybody. He would be the first to reach out to call or text. Connecting with people in his own way.
