

Brenda spent her early years in Dayton, Ohio, before settling in Southwest Houston, where she built a life grounded in family, faith, and service. She worked for many years as a cashier and waitress at Red Lobster, known for her warm smile and kind spirit. Later, she served in administrative support for Fort Bend County and the Commissioner’s Precinct Two Office, where she was admired for her dedication and steady grace.
A devoted Catholic, Brenda was an active member of Holy Family Church, where she found purpose and joy as a wedding coordinator. Her faith guided her life and inspired her compassion for others. She was also active in her Ridgemont subdivision and the Missouri City community, always lending a helping hand and staying connected to what was happening around town.
Brenda also supported her husband, Willard “Bill” Long III, in running Cast Theatrical Company in Rosenberg, Texas, where they spent many years contributing to the local arts and community theater scene.
She loved her family deeply and was known for her generosity and her keen knowledge of current events and community life.
She is survived by her loving husband, Willard “Bill” Long III, and their children Dawn Fadri (Long) and husband Edison, Rebecca Weaver (Long) and husband Aaron, and David Long, as well as her beloved “puppy,” Cali. She is also survived by extended family and dear friends who will forever cherish her memory.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her brothers, Carl Kessen and Roger Kessen, along with other loved ones who went before her.
A visitation will be held at Earthman Southwest Funeral Home, located at 12555 South Kirkwood Road, Stafford, Texas, 77477, on Monday, November 3, 2025, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
The Funeral Mass will take place at Holy Family Catholic Church, 1510 5th Street, Missouri City, Texas, 77489, on Tuesday, November 4, 2025, at 11:00 a.m.
