

He graduated from high school and pursued four years of college education. Darwin served honorably in the Navy, where he was awarded the National Defense Service Medal, the Vietnam Service Medal, and the Vietnam Campaign Medal.
Darwin had a passion for the outdoors, finding joy and peace in nature. He was also deeply involved in his community, serving as a deacon in his church, where he touched many lives with his kindness and leadership.
He is preceded in passing by his beloved wife JoAnne Hartman, his cherished son Monty Hartman and grandson Colten Broussard.
Darwin is survived by Matthew Broussard, Diane Broussard, Holly Broussard, Angela Hartman, Shannon Hartman, MaKayla Hartman, and his sisters Betty and Cheryl Hartman. His family and friends remember him with love and gratitude. Special thanks are extended to his caretaker, Regina, for her compassionate care.
A visitation will be held at Earthman Southwest Funeral Home, located at 12555 South Kirkwood, Stafford, TX 77477, on September 15, 2025, from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm, followed by a funeral service from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm. A graveside service will take place at Morton Cemetery, 900 Morton St, Richmond, TX 77469, from 1:30 pm to 2:00 pm.
Darwin will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
