

ELIZABETH “BETTY JO” JOSEPHINE PFISTERER was the only daughter born to Margaret Elizabeth and Lemuel Edgar McKinney in Wichita Falls, Texas. She got her angel wings on Tuesday, February 25, 2014. Her husband of 48 years, Frank Edward Pfisterer, and her oldest daughter, Patricia Ann Pierce as well as her mother, father, and her three brothers, James Edgar McKinney, William Joseph McKinney and Gene Lawrence McKinney, preceded her in death. Betty is survived by her children, Michael Edward Pfisterer and wife, Tracy, of Houston, TX, Margaret Marie Ladymon and husband Dal of Dallas, TX, Loretta Cecelia McGauley and husband Dan of Grant, AL, William Joseph Pfisterer and wife Brenda of Houston, TX, Elizabeth Francis Autem and husband Joe of Double Oak, TX. She was blessed with 21 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
Betty grew up in Beaumont, Texas before moving to Houston, Texas with her family and graduated from High School at St. Agnes Academy and went on to attend Southern Methodist University in Dallas, TX. She lived most of her life in Houston, Texas and the last eight years in Grant, AL with her daughter, Lori McGauley. She was a devoted and loyal employee of Gordon Jewelry Corporation for over 38 years. Betty earned the title of Vice President of Traffic and Transportation in 1986. Zales Corporation acquired the company in 1989 where she continued to work until her retirement in 2004.

Graveside Services at 1:00pm Houston National Cemetery. 10410 Veterans Memorial Drive, Houston, TX 77038
The family will receive guests following the graveside service.
