Eung Soo Kim

Eung Soo Kim, age 61, of Houston TX, passed away on May 23, 2026. Born on September 5, 1964, in Seoul, South Korea, Eung Soo lived a life filled with generosity for his neighbors and friends, devout faith in God, and love for his wife and three daughters. He obtained his bachelor’s degree from Kookmin University in 1990, and then received his MBA from University of Houston in 1998. He married Leah Youngmee Lee in 1997. An active member of the Houston Korean Christian community, Eung Soo spent his years serving his community sincerely and mentoring others. He took great pride in all of his work, and nothing brought him more joy than sharing the fruits of his labor with family and friends. He enjoyed taking road trips with his family (especially to the beach), classic rock music, reading books, and watching all types of sports games and nature documentaries. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife (Leah Youngmee Lee), his daughters (Iren, Leslie, and Janice Kim), his son-in-law (Jaron Lee), and his many friends.

The family would like to thank the nurses, doctors, and staff at Ben Taub Hospital and Earthman Southwest for their compassion and care during this difficult time.

A visitation will be held at Earthman Southwest Funeral Home, 12555 South Kirkwood Road, Stafford, Texas 77477, on May 29, 2026, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am, followed by the Funeral Service at the same location on May 29, 2026, beginning at 11:00 am.
