

She was born to Otto Oswald Laake Jr. and Hettie Mae Walls Laake on December 25th 1947, bring a unique joy to her family on Christmas Day.
Gloria shared 57 devoted years of marriage with her beloved husband, Thomas Eugene Ussery. Together, they buily a life centered on love, family, and simple joys. She was a proud and loving mother to her son, Wade Eugene Ussery and her daughter, RaNell Aileen Ussery.
Gloria dedicated her life to her family as a homemaker, creating a warm and welcoming home filled with love, laughter and the comfort of a good meal. She had a special talent for cooking and loved entertaining family and friends. Many will remember the abosolute delight of her homemade bread, made with care and shared with those she loved.
In quiet moments, Gloria found bits of happiness in various crafts, such as embroidery, gardening and woodworking. She especially treasured the time she spent outdoors with her family, fishing and camping, making memories that will be cherished and carried on by those who loved her most.
She was preceeded in death by her parents, Otto Oswald Laake Jr. and Hettie Mae Walls Laake, and her brother, Otto Boyd Laake and Willie (Bill) August Laake.
Gloria leaves behind her husband, Thomas Eugene Ussery, her son: Wade Eugene Ussery, her daughter: RaNell Aileen Ussery and husband Raymond, her siblings: Milton Norman Laake and wife Jane, Ernest (Ernie) Paul Laake and wife Lorraine, Linda Gayle Laake Hilton and husband Gene and Doris Nell Laake Cook and husband Craig, along with many cherished nieces and nephews spanning multiple generations.
Gloria will be remembered for her gentle spirit, creativity, and the deep love she gave so freely to her family and friends.
The family asks that you keep Gloria in your thoughts and prayers during this time. In accordance with her wishes, no visitation or services will be held.
Her love lives on in the hearts of all who knew her.
