

John Justin Marston, 60, of Richmond, Texas, passed away on Sunday, June 4, 2017 after a strong and courageous battle with lung cancer. He was born in Woodward, Oklahoma on February 7, 1957 to his loving parents John D. and Bobbie Marston, of Woodward, Oklahoma. He graduated from Woodward High School. He was married to Connie Marston on September 24, 1983. John attended the University of Oklahoma his first two years and graduated from Oklahoma State University with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, and was a proud Sooners and Pokes fan. He played football for the University of Oklahoma and was on the 1975 championship football team. John started his career in Houston, TX and worked for 17 years as a Sales Manager at Shelving Concepts.
John had a passion for many things including football season, family vacations, spending time with his kids, and excelling at his career. Above all, being a devoted husband and father was his greatest joy in life. His resilient spirit and positive attitude will be remembered by all who knew him. His contagious smile, laugh, and big hugs will never be forgotten.
He is survived by his loving wife of 33 years, Connie Marston, son Jonathan Marston and daughter-in-law Grace, daughter Kaylee Marston, beloved brother Temple Marston and wife Lynne, and many other loving extended family and friends.
A visitation will be held from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Monday, June 12 with a rosary at 7:00 pm at Earthman Southwest Funeral Home, 12555 S Kirkwood Rd, Stafford, TX 77477. A funeral mass will be held Tuesday, June 13 at 10:00 am at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 507 S 4th St, Richmond, Texas 77469. A graveside service will be held later in the month and John will be laid to rest in Woodward, Oklahoma alongside his mother and father.
