John Carl Schultz III "Jack" , passed away on Monday, September 28, 2026, at the age of 91. He was born on August 19, 1935. in Galveston, Texas where he lived until finally moving to Houston, Texas with his wife for the rest of his life.
He graduated from Texas A & M University and received a Master's in International Trade from Thunderbird School of Global Management.
John was actively involved at Holy Rosary Catholic Church with the St. Vincent de Paul Society and various other ministries.
John had a love for his Catholic faith, the beach, gardening and his fighting Texas Aggies.
He is preceded in death by his father. John Carl Schultz, Jr., his mother, Emilia Dolfi Schultz; his brother, Gordon Schultz.
John is survived by his wife, Mercedes Schultz; his son, Paul Schultz and his wife Shonna; his son Kevin Schultz and his wife Amy; his daughter Vivienne St. John and her husband Shawn and his son Stuart Schultz and his wife Jennifer as well as the following grandchildren - Krystina Kallemyn (Austin); Ryan Schultz; Amilya Schultz; Carl Schultz; Sarah St. John; Laura St John; Gavin Schultz; Logan Schultz and his cousin Carol Bartz.
A visitation will be held at Earthman Southwest Funeral Home, 12555 South Kirkwood Road in Stafford, on Monday, October 5, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. with the Recitation of the Holy Rosary at 6:30 p.m.
A Funeral Mass will be held at Holy Rosary Church, 3617 Milam Street in Houston, on Tuesday, October 6, 2026, at 9:30 a.m.
The Rite of Committal will follow, via funeral procession to Forest Park Westheimer Cemetery in Houston.
