Joseph Lorenzo

Joe was a friend to many, and always had something to say. Joe was an avid APA pool player for over 20 years, and enjoyed teaching the younger players on his MOJO team. Joe enjoyed the outdoors, and was a great campfire cook at the annual Kajun Klassic/Oktoberfish fishing tournaments. Mostly, he enjoyed just being out on the lake, amongst the eagles, alligators and all that nature can provide as he fished. Joe was an annual Volunteer with the Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo's Transportation/Rodeo Express Committees for many years, and enjoyed the HLSR BBQ Contest the most. Joe enjoyed music with a passion, attending concert performances almost monthly. Joe leaves behind hundreds of friends in his many social circles, and will leave a big hole in our hearts to fill.

Joe is preceded in death by his mother, Josephine. He is survived by his wife of 28 years, Deborah Lorenzo; son, Dylan Grosscup and his wife Judit; 6 grandchildren, Dorian Lorenzo, Jolie Lorenzo, Josephine Lorenzo, Mary-Lola Grosscup, Karoly Grosscup, and Spartacus Grosscup; and his brother, Louis Lorenzo.

The family will receive friends for visitation at Earthman Southwest Funeral Home on Monday February 20, 2017 from 5:00 pm – 8:00 pm. Funeral Service will take place on Tuesday, February 21, 2017 at 2:00 pm in the Chapel of Earthman Southwest Funeral Home, with a reception to follow from 2:30 pm – 4:30 pm.
