Juanita Tammy Marie Williams

Juanita “Tammy” Marie Williams went “home” to be with the Lord on March 12, 2014 after a courageous battle with cancer. Throughout, she was strong in her faith with her family by her side. No matter what life brought her way, she was always resilient and brave.

She is survived by her husband of 45 years Dale Williams, daughter Roberta and husband Steve Burg, son Mark and wife Cindy Williams, Rodney and wife Lisa Williams, 10 grand children Krystal (& Aaron) Samples. Nicholas Burg, Aly and Kara Williams, Clay and Ashley Mesecke, Blake Buentello, Amber Strom and Jonathon Williams and three great grandchildern Jordyn Deprato, Connor Strom and Trevor Samples.

She is preceded in death by son Buddy and many other family members she joined in heaven.

Tammy grew up in Strawn, TX where she was a majorette, played basketball and softball. She also played powder puff football for the Mighty Greyhounds.

She really enjoyed fishing. Participating in many tournaments with Dale and her siblings, and has won several trophies.

Tammy also had a knack for picking the right machines and a lucky streak with the red white and blues.

Many of you have fallen victim to defeat by TammyW on her words with friends. Her passion for words didn’t start there, it began with her obsession for scrabble. She was invited to many tournaments and was even nationally ranked. It is safe to say there is one heck of a scrabble game going on in heaven right now.

Nothing brought her more joy than spending time with her family. Whether she was fishing, hitting the lucky 7’s or a mean game of scrabble, it was the gathering of family and sharing of her passions that made her the happiest.

Tammy uniquely touched everyone that knew her. Psalm 118:17 says “I will not die but live, and will proclaim what the Lord has done”.

Tammy's Memorial Service will be Sunday, March 16, 2014 at 2:00 PM at Earthman Southwest Chapel, 12555 S. Kirkwood, Stafford, TX 77477
