

Kerry Pollard was born on February 25, 1982 in Georgetown, Guyana to the late Maureen McLean Best and Berkley Pollard. In 1990, Kerry moved to Houston, Texas where his Christian upbringing and background shaped his life. Kerry had a deep love for reading books and embraced new challenges with enthusiasm. He often read to children and actively supported a literacy program he was passionate about, demonstrating his commitment to fostering a love reading in others.
Kerry attended the University of Houston, where he earned both a Bachelor’s and a Master’s degree in Business Administration. Additionally, he became a Certified Treasury Professional, showcasing his dedication to his field and professional development. He went on to work as a financial analyst at Enerflex System Inc. where Kerry was responsible for managing the company’s financial assets, optimizing cash flow, and ensuring liquidity. Kerry’s expertise in financial risk management and investment strategies contributed significantly to the company’s financial health. One of the best things that happened to Kerry was the birth of his beloved daughter, Ellie Elizabeth Alfred Pollard, who is now four months old. He adored her and cherished every moment spent with her. Over the years, Kerry was known for his love of travel. He explored around 32 countries with his many good friends, making travel a cherished hobby.
Kerry is survived by his daughter, Ellie Elizabeth Alfred Pollard, his father, Berkley Pollard, his sister, Tevia Pollard and his brother, Travis Pollard. His aunts and uncles, Lorraine McLean, Barbara Agard, Edward McLean, Sandra Isaacs, Wilton McLean, Bryan McLean, Audrey Peters, Beverley Bob-Semple, Jackie Pollard, Gillian Pollard, Debbie Butler, and a large number of cousins, many friends, colleagues and teammates. Kerry is preceded in death by his mother, Maureen McLean Best, his grandmother Elaine Vanessa McLean, his grandfather, Edward Fitzherbert McLean, his brother, Sheldon McLean and his cousin, Quintana Patterson McLean. Kerry will be missed by all who knew him.
