

Lois Ann Christie, age 86, of Sugar Land, Texas peacefully entered into eternal life with her Lord and Savior Jesus on February 25, 2025. Lois was born in Freeport, New York to father George Brevig and mother Ella Brevig.
Lois married her husband of 67 years, Vernon Christie, on July 14, 1957. Lois is survived by her husband Vernon H. Christie, Jr., three children and their families Michael and Martha Christie, Troy and Chere Christie, and Chris and Denise Thornton. Four granddaughters and their families, Blake and Stephanie Adams, Benjamin and Lindsay Carnine, Michelle Christie, Manolo Eschmann and Taylor Christie. Two great grandchildren, Sloane Adams and Grayson Carnine. Lois was preceded in death by her parents George and Ella Brevig, adopted father Siegfried Polesky, daughter Gerri Christie and brother Darwin Polesky.
Lois was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend. She lived a full life with many experiences. She loved to travel. She loved collecting art and animal figurines. Lois also loved animals, especially dogs. She always had a dog or two. She loved all kinds of music, Elvis, Wille Nelson, Jimmy Buffet, The Eagles, IZ, and Creedence Clearwater Revival just to name a few. She also loved going to the casino and playing the slot machines.
Lois grew up on a farm in Hector, MN. She was a Christian and regularly attended her town’s local Lutheran church. Lois was an accomplished seamstress. She loved making dresses for herself and for all the girls in her family.
Lois worked as an Executive Administrative Assistant for companies like Trans World Airlines, Bechtel, Babcock and Wilcox, and Exxon. She was a strong woman, working full-time while raising four kids. She retired from work at age 50 and traveled the globe with Vernon.
A Celebration of Life will be held for Lois at 10:30 a.m. on Friday March 21, 2025 at Earthman Southwest Funeral Home 12555 S. Kirkwood Rd, Stafford, TX 77477.
Lois will be laid to rest at Houston National Cemetery in Houston, TX.
In lieu of flowers, her family asks that you plant a tree in Lois’ name or donate to your favorite pet shelter.
