Lucia Gonzales Casarez

LUCIA G. CASAREZ, loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, March 30, 2011, in Sugar Land, TX. She was born on March 20, 1929, in Sugar Land, to Paul and Paula Gonzales. Lucia retired from Imperial Sugar after many years. She was a faithful member of St. Theresa Catholic Church in Sugar Land. Lucia was preceded in death by her parents; son, Daniel Casarez, Jr.; daughter, Diana Casarez; and brother, Arnulfo Gonzales. She is survived by her husband of sixty three years, Daniel Casarez, Sr., sons, Arnulfo Casarez, Sr. (Maria), Paul Casarez, and Elmo Casarez; daughters, Elvira Silva, Alice Rivera (Luciano), Mary Zepeda (Larry), Dana Ray (Joe Leal), and Elma Charlez; sisters, Guadalupe Lopez, Emma Martinez, and Pauline Reyes; nineteen grandchildren; twenty-six great-grandchildren; and numerous other loving relatives. Visitation: 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM, Sunday, April 3, 2011, at Earthman Southwest Chapel, Stafford, with a Rosary at 7:00 PM. Mass of Christian Burial: 11:00 AM, on Monday, April 4, 2011, at St. Theresa Catholic Church, Sugar Land. Rite of Committal: San Gabriel Cemetery, Richmond.
