It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Luis Jimenez Quevedo. He was a devoted father, passionate gardener, and lover of life. He left us peacefully on July 31, 2025, at the age of 71.
Luis was born on June 21,1954 and lived a life full of purpose, joy and deep love for his family. He was a man of warmth and laughter. He was the happiest when he was surrounded by his loved ones while grilling fajitas, chicken, and any other meat that he can put on the grill.
Luis was an avid runner and cyclist, and he found peace and energy outdoors. He was often seen running with his dogs, tending to his garden, riding his bike with a smile that reflected his love of movement and nature. His hands were always busy—planting, building, preparing meals.
Luis’ love for animals was only matched by his love for people. He treated every pet as family and every friend as family. His loyalty patience and sense of humor made him the cornerstone of every gathering and the first to help others when someone needed it.
He is survived by his wife, daughters, two dogs, eight chickens, two roosters, and the two cats that adopted him. Throughout his lifetime, he continuously fostered relationships with others to convert friends into family.
A celebration of Luis’ life will be held on August 8, 2025, at Earthman Southwest Funeral Home starting at 10am, where stories will be shared, tears shed, and love remembered.
Luis lived with joy, loved without limits and left this world a better place by simply being in it. He will be missed always and remembered forever.
