Mable Claire Butts

MABLE CLAIRE BUTTS, was born July 6, 1927 in Houston, Texas and left this world to be with her Lord and Heavenly family on Wednesday, December 12, 2012. Mable Claire was a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, and great-gran. She was a charter member of the Stafford Church of Christ. Mable Claire loved her God and was a servant to his people. She loved reading her Bible, helping others, and collecting elephants. Mable Claire was loved by many and will be missed by all. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Lamar Butts, Sr.; parents, Carl and Mable Taylor; and brother, Reavis Taylor. Mable Claire is survived by her daughters, Sarah Butler and husband Bob, and Rachel Curry and husband Randy; son, Edward Lamar Butts, Jr. and wife Rhonda; sister, Carlyne Martin; granddaughters, Heather Hardin and husband Mark, Lexie Butler, and Roxanne Bradford and husband Brian; grandsons, Nathan Butler, Riley Curry, and Reid Curry; great-granddaughters, Heidi and Madeline Hardin, and Avery and Cameron Bradford; in-laws, Gene and Alma Butts, Paul and Beverly Denton, and Ken and Jan Butts; and numerous nieces and nephews. A Visitation with the family will be held from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, on Friday, December 14, 2012, at Earthman Southwest Chapel, Stafford. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 AM, on Saturday, December 15, 2012, also at Earthman Southwest Chapel. A Graveside Service will follow at 3:00 PM, at Salem Cemetery, Hallettsville, Texas.
